How to report content that infringes your copyright, what we do about it, and how to get your own content restored if it was removed by mistake.

Last updated 28 September 2026

1.The short version

Myso respects copyright. If something hosted on or built with Myso infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act. If your own content was removed by mistake, you can ask for it back. We also terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

2.Reporting infringing content (takedown notice)

Send a notice to [email protected]. To be valid, it must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  • The URL or enough detail to let us locate the specific material you want removed.
  • Your name, address, telephone number and email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may make you liable for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA.

3.What we do with a valid notice

When we receive a complete notice we remove or disable access to the material promptly and make a reasonable effort to notify the person who posted it, passing along your notice so they can respond. We keep a record of notices we receive.

4.Counter-notice — getting your content back

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to [email protected] with:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material and where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live (or, if outside the US, that you will accept service from the person who filed the notice).

If the original complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.

5.Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances we suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are the subject of repeat infringement notices, in line with our Terms of Service.

6.Designated agent

Copyright notices should be sent to our designated agent at [email protected]. Myso is operated by Hostwares; a postal address for the registered agent is available on request while we finalise the public listing.
